Bojan Jerbić

Bojan Jerbić is a full professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Zagreb, at the Department of Robotics and Automation of Production Systems. He graduated from the same faculty in 1983 in the field of robotics, master’s degree he received in 1987, and defended his doctorate in 1993 in the field of artificial intelligence. He conducted his PhD research in the USA, and together with his associates maintains cooperation with many European universities. He teaches numerous courses in the field of autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, robotics and engineering computing.

His scientific research is mainly focused on intelligent control models for multi-agent robotic systems, medical robotics, human-robot interaction, and robot self-awareness models. He has published more than 160 scientific and professional papers, three books and participated in numerous research and development projects. He has given about sixty invited lectures at home and abroad. Thanks to research projects and cooperation with the industry, he has established one of the most advanced centers of excellence for applied robotics in Europe (CRTA – Regional Center of Excellence for Robotic Technologies).
