Anita Dremel acquired her MA in Sociology and English language and literature (2006), BA in Japanology (2007) and PhD in Sociology (2014), all at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. She has extensive teaching experience at undergraduate and graduate levels and has done sociological research in the fields of gender, discourse, violence and culture. She collaborates on national and international research projects and popularizes science. She has published papers and book chapters and edited books in Croatia and abroad. She is a member of programme and organization committees of three conferences and of several professional associations (Croatian sociological association, European sociological association, Centre for women’s studies, Istrian historical society). She is currently a senior research associate and works as an Assistant Professor at the Sociology Department at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University J. J. Strossmayer in Osijek.
