FESTIVAL
The Web Festival
is a special event dedicated to Web authors as well as Web users,
offering the opportunity to Web authors to present their accomplishments
and Web users to compare them, and to evaluate their impact. In
line with this year's topic, Web Festival was a contest for the
best Internet community Web site.
The contest
was open to everybody (Rules of the
contest). The deadline for the submission of Web sites was
September 1st, 2001. From April 27 until September 4 we received
92 applications for the Web Festival.
Check out the list of 15 Web sites selected
for final competition. The Jury officially awarded
best Web sites.
Apart from
the official contest, all visitors of the official conference
Web site had the opportunity to vote for the best Web site entered
in the contest (September 21 - 26, 2001) and a special
award - "Users' Choice" was granted.
