Klara Bilić Meštrić, works at the Croatian academic and Research Network – CARNET as a project expert in the Education Support Department (e-learning research and development). She graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb in Comparative Literature and English Language and Literature and received her PhD from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Osijek under the mentorship of Dr. Dina Mehmedbegović from the Institute of Education (UCL). Until 2020, she worked at the Faculty of Croatian Studies at the University of Zagreb as a postdoctoral fellow and held courses Language, Power and Identity and Academic English.

In 2015 and 2016 she led the ESF PROViZA project (Promotion of multilingualism in Zadar: Ethnolinguistic vitality of the Zadar Arbanasi community) and explored sociolinguistic practices of the Zadar Arbanasi. From 2018 to 2020, she worked as an external associate on the HORIZON2020 CRISS project, within which CARNET piloted a platform for the development and certification of student digital competencies. Within the CARNET’s Schools 2.0 project, which won the European Prize for Innovation in Public Administration, she led and coordinated action research with Croatian teachers, headteachers and pedagogues from rural environments. She presented her research at numerous conferences in Croatia and abroad.
