All papers and proposals will undergo two double-blind reviews. One person can submit a maximum of two papers as the first author.
All papers must be submitted online in one of the following formats: .doc, .docx, .rtf and .pdf. The official language of the Conference is Croatian and the authors will be expected to present their papers and workshops in Croatian language. Lectures by invited foreign speakers will be in English.
We are continuing the cooperation with the Media Research and the Croatian Journal of Education, which have again offered to publish a selection of the best Conference papers proposed by the Programme Committee. Only research and technical papers can enter the selection.
Awards for best paper and best presentation will be presented at the Conference.
An original research paper presents theoretical or empirical contributions to a particular scientific discipline or a certain interdisciplinary area. Naturally, an original research paper has not been published in another publication or on the Internet. If the same paper has been submitted to another conference which has not yet been held, or a journal which has not yet been published, the author is obliged to inform the CUC 2012 about this.
An announcement (containing information about new data obtained by research which is still under way), as well as an overview (presentation and notes on development of a particular area of research), will also be considered as scientific papers.
The paper is expected to have the following structure: introduction, methodology, results, discussion and conclusion. The submitted paper may not be longer than 15 pages. This includes the summary of no more than 250 words, bibliographical references (in the form of numerical notes), as well as pictures and other graphic presentations which have to be positioned in appropriate places in the text.
Based on the proposal of the CUC 2012 Programme Committee, several of the best original scientific and technical papers will enter the selection for publishing in the Media Research and the Croatian Journal of Education.
A technical paper discusses results and theories which are not necessarily original, and can already be known. The author who submits a technical paper to CUC 2011 can describe experiences in application of scientific results, as well as other experiences acquired through work and projects in education, science, media and information and communication technologies.
The technical paper is expected to have the following structure: introduction, description of work and results, conclusion. The submitted technical paper may not be longer than 8 pages. This includes the summary of 250 words at the most, bibliographical references (in the form of numerical notes), as well as pictures and other graphic presentations which have to be positioned in appropriate places in the text.
Based on the proposal of the CUC 2012 Programme Committee, several of the best original scientific and technical papers will enter the selection for publishing in the Media Research and the Croatian Journal of Education.
