Milka Fofonjka is employed at II. Elementary School Bjelovar as an excellent mathematics advisory teacher. She is intensively engaged in studying new technologies and methods in education. She serves as the leader of international projects and the coordinator of the Erasmus accreditation from 2021 to 2027 .
She is involved in writing and implementing projects, authoring professional manuals, e-courses, workbooks in mathematics for gifted students, and educational digital content for mathematics titled “IZZI” from fifth to eighth grade published by Profil-Klett d.o.o.
As part of the e-School pilot project, she conducted workshops for teachers and professional associates aimed at implementing education programs for the development of digital competence. She is a member of the working group for developing extracurricular activity curricula and elective subjects as part of the “BrAIn” project. 2020. In 2020 and 2022, she was recognized as one of the top 513 teachers in Croatia. She received the Seal of the City of Bjelovar for achievements in education and the award for successful pedagogical work from the “Božo Tvrtković” Fund.
