Prof. Ph.D. Josip Burušić is a permanent Scientific Advisor at the Ivo Pilar Institute of Social Sciences in Zagreb. He is a Full Professor at the University of Zagreb – at the Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Croatian Studies and the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry.
He is a member of the Scientific Center of Excellence for School Effectiveness and School Management, where he is the Head of the Research Unit for School Effectiveness. He is an associate member of the Scientific Council for Schooling and Education of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (HAZU). He is the leader of many research projects in education in the areas of research into the effectiveness and quality of the education system, external evaluation, national exams, evaluation of educational programs and policies, consideration of the STEM school area and STEM professions, and the development of revised methodologies and guidelines in the field of Croatian Qualifications Framework (HKO) aimed at matching education, educational programs, and the labor market.
