Predrag Pale, FER


Predrag Pale received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering.

Although he has been designing computer hardware, operating systems, applications and computer networks, most of his twenty years of professional experience are in the area of information and communication technology (ICT) applications. His references are in almost every part of human activities from medicine to civil engineering, from commerce to financing, from libraries to news media from education to government administration.
He started the project of Croatian Academic and Research Network in 1991, Scientific Information System in 1994 and National Information System for Libraries in 1998. From 1993 to 2000 he served as a deputy minister of science and technology.

His primary interest is in application of ICT in education, medicine and other public systems. Currently, he is a teacher at the University of Zagreb, and member of a variety of project teems aiming at ICT implementation in public systems. He is frequent speaker at international events about the future of cyberworld and on issues of privacy and security of information systems.

In the past decade he has been implementing ICT in his educational activities in attempt to improve the teaching/learning process.
