• Zdenko Franic, Ph.D., Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology
• Zdravko Galic, B.Sc., representing the President of the Republic of Croatia

Mr Zdravko Galic, officially opened the Conference.

Mr. George Sadowsky, Global Internet Policy Initiative, Washington, DC, USA gave the first speech on the Conference, titled: “Challenges for Today's Internet".

Finally Mr. Miroslav Milinovic, Program Committee Chair gave a brief overview of the Conference and its topic.
