Digital libraries and the visually impaired

Koraljka Golub is a junior research assistant at the Department of Information Science, Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. Her areas of interest include information retrieval, digital libraries and people with special needs and disabilities as library users, on which topics she was a co-author of several papers presented at conferences in Croatia and abroad. In 1999 she started developing a digital library of exam literature at her Department and in 2001 another collection for the visually impaired. At CARNet Users Conference CUC 2000 and 2001 she spoke about digital libraries and online education.
