Visnjan Observatory; Setting up an Online Web Based Conference Center at Visnjan Observatory for Educating Students in Science

This paper illustrates experience from building and development of VOWebConference - Online Web Based Conference Center at Visnjan Observatory for Educating Students in Science. Since last few years, as technology develop, we have started to practice web conferencing. Students witch were earlier involved in Visnjan educational activities, and who are now on post degree studies mainly in USA, have started doing a lectures for our students who attend our programs. Attends were in our conference room and were following lectures (slides) on large panel. Since it was good we have decided to build Online Web Based Conference Center at Visnjan Observatory for Educating Students in Science. We nave manage to find sponsors and we started to plan our hardware needs.

This is first objective of this paper, planning hardware needs, software, connecting all together setting up all protocols and servers with all problems with software and hardware and how to avoid it.

Our Online Web Based Conference Center at Visnjan Observatory for Educating Students in Science was tested first time at MACE (Meeting on Asteroids and Comets in Europe). As everything went good we have decided to develop system in which anybody would be enable to actively attend our lectures, so that it will be public available for everyone connected to internet. Also we are going to make all our past lectures available on demand
The second objective of this paper is how to brig interesting science-educating lectures to large number of students, and also how to educate students through Online Web Based Conference Center at Visnjan Observatory for Educating Students in Science

This system is working and will be hard tested in next months at Visnjan Summer Science Activities.
