Dr.
Dragan Roša was born in Šibenik in 1958. He graduated in physics
in 1983, achieved M.Sc. in 1992 and Ph.D. in 1996 in the field
of astrophysics. Since 1992 he is the Head of Astronomical Observatory
Zagreb. His main activity is popularization and teaching of
astronomy (public lectures, summer-schools, competitions, seminars
for school teachers etc.) and he took part in initiating, organization
and implementation of the e-school project in Croatia. He is
the author of several text-books for amateur astronomers and
for primary and secondary school education programs. Main field
of his scientific research is solar physics - solar rotation.
He is the member of the Croatian Astronomical Society and International
Astronomical Union.
