Jerko
Ban is a Jesuit and he is currently studding theology at the
Faculty of Theology of the Society of Jesus in Zagreb where
he also works as an e-mail and JMU administrator. In 1999 he
started the project "Liturgy in Sign Language" and he was also
involved on educational pilot project "Mind and Body". He has
BA in philosophy from the Faculty of Philosophy of the Society
of Jesus in Zagreb. He is an interpreter for the deaf persons,
webmaster and he also works on different multimedia projects
intended for the education of the deaf persons. In 1998 he participated
at the first Croatian international conference on deafblindness
in Baško Polje, and he cooperates since than with the Croatian
association of Deafblind Persons "Touch". He also crated a web
site for the "Touch" and he is currently working on a few other
sites for the humanitarian no profitable organizations.
