A brief look at the reviews

Dear authors, participants and friends of CUC,

As every year, I am incredibly grateful for your exceptional interest and the numerous submitted papers for this year’s conference. Your enthusiasm and desire to share knowledge and experiences form the core of our event and educational system.

However, it is my duty to reflect on certain challenges we encountered during the paper review process. We have noticed two situations that require our attention:

Works generated by artificial intelligence :
We discovered a certain number of applications that were shown on AI checkers to be 100% generated by artificial intelligence. While we appreciate innovation and the application of new technologies, we must emphasize the importance of original, human contributions to our conference.

Recycled or slightly modified works:
A certain number of papers were largely taken over from submissions made previous years. We remind you that the goal of CUC is to present new ideas and current research.

Given these challenges, the CUC Program Committee has decided to take additional steps to ensure the integrity and quality of our conference:
  • In the coming years, we will make additional efforts to verify the authenticity and originality of submitted works. We are creating a database of all submitted works so that each application can be checked more easily.
  • We reserve the right to subsequently withdraw papers that have passed the review, if it is subsequently determined that they fall into one of the above categories.
We are not introducing these measures to discourage creativity or innovation, but to maintain the high standards that CUC has set for years. As you know, CARNET tries to provide authors with subsidies at the conference, to the extent that the projects make it possible. We believe that in this context, our effort is also necessary to ensure that the best works get the opportunity to be presented at the CUC.

We trust you will understand the importance of these steps in maintaining the quality and relevance of our conference.

Despite these challenges, we look forward to having the opportunity to host numerous excellent papers and lectures this year as well. Your contribution is crucial for the success of CUC and together we will continue to build a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of application of information technologies in education.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to seeing you soon at CUC 2025!

With respect,
Nino Cosic
Conference Director
