Are we ready for HyFlex?

The model of hybrid-flexible learning and teaching enables and supports students in creating their own way of participating in the educational process, whether it is attending live classes, distance classes in synchronous or asynchronous form. If carefully planned and structured, this way of organisation and implementation of learning and teaching purposefully places the student at the centre of the educational process, and in addition to the acquisition of professional knowledge and skills, it can also support the development of key competencies for life and work in the digital age. Digital technologies employed in this model can demonstrate their full potential and purposeful support to the educational process. In this lecture, we will discuss what the HyFlex model looks like, how dependent it is on innovative learning and teaching methods, what the key obstacles and contributions are, whether it is ever profitable to use this model, and why we should start using it in the first place.
