Mr. Vikas A. Sonak is a linguist, translator and teacher. Born and partly educated in India, he has lived in the Netherlands for the past thirty years and holds a Master's degree in English from the University of Groningen. He is currently head of the Language Services Department of an international company.

Mr. Sonak has actively contributed to international collaboration among both students and teachers and has promoted the use of ICT in education. He has coached several award-winning teams for the international ThinkQuest Web design contest and was ThinkQuest Coach of the Year in 1999.
