In order to support and promote usage of multimedia technologies in CARNet community (for education & training, scientific, public relations and other purposes), CARNet started two project which should provide infrastructural foundations and knowledge base for all those within CARNet community who want to enrich their work and its results with multimedia: CARNet Media on Demand (MoD) project aims to provide resources for hosting and distribution of multimedia content, while CARNet TV aims to provide services of
Internet broadcasts and multimedia production.

This panel discussion would be a place where both people shaping and creating CARNet MoD & TV and potential users of such services would meet to discuss the needs and expectations of CARNet community towards multimedia production and distributions.

We invite all those who either already use multimedia in their work or either wish to enrich content they create with multimedia. CARNet MoD & TV project teams would present the ongoing activities and plans, while discussion would help us get feedback about expectations and needs of our potential users.
