WWW.HR is a Web-based information service project supported by the Croatian Academic and Research Network - CARNet. We have developed a new WAP service as a result of increasing popularity of mobile phones and huge number of Internet users. This service makes possible for mobile phone users to access general information about Croatia. Goal is to make a simple Web based user-friendly service accessible from all types of mobile phones with attractive content that will constantly provide up to date information. The service provides information about nature, politics, current weather, tourism, cities, important telephone numbers, sport, Internet resources and two phonebooks. This paper presents new WAP service as a part of WWW.HR development evolution, retrospecting its creation and reviewing its current status.
