  Abstract     Presentation   Back to Program

Principles of usability from the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) can be successfully applied to the design of web sites. Users are goal-oriented and successful web sites reflect this by supporting users in accomplishing their tasks. Practical techniques include building paper mock-ups and running "quick and dirty" user tests for feedback during the design.
