Radovan Vrana is a research assistant at the Department of information sciences at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. His areas of interest include library management by introducing and using the information technology in libraries. He works on project "Organization, preservation and management of the Croatian book heritage" including a section on digitization of printed material. Another area of interest are digital libraries development of which is associated with the development of communication and computer technology as well as with the development of libraries. As we still don?t have a single digital library in Croatia their appearance is still expected. In addition to this Radovan Vrana is involded in the teaching process, that is work with students as well as in participating in several student projects which aim is to enlarge the quantity of quality electronic information resources in the Croatian part of Internet.
