Edyta Halupecki, B.Sc., has graduated in Molecular Biology. She works as Young Research Assistant in the Department of Plant Pathology at the Faculty of Agriculture in Zagreb. Her main scientific interest is severe disease of fruit trees called Fire Blight (caused by bacteria Erwinia amylovora). This disease is dependent upon climatological conditions in orchards and this data are measured and collected in order to calculate infection risk using available computerised forecasting models.
