Djurdjica Tezak is a professor at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. The Ph.D. was done at the same faculty in the field of physical chemistry. The main area of her research interest represents the physical chemistry of colloids and interfaces, aggregation processes in solutions, and lyotropic liquid crystals. The results of her scientific investigation have been published in 37 Current Contents journals, and 8 papers in Chemical Abstracts journals; she wrote several chapters in books and the course notes for students. She was the editor-in chief of the special issue of the journal Croat. Chem. Acta 65 (1992), (1), "Non-equilibrium States in Molecular Aggregation, and, Fractals in Chemistry, and the editor of the book "Trends in Colloid and Interface Science XIII", Springer Verlag, Heidelberg, 1999. Recently, she is the principal investigator of the research project "Dynamics and structure of supramolecular aggregates", and of the international project "Defined Clusters of Association Colloids in Aqueous Solutions". As a member of several Croatian and international professional societies, she developed the international activities. She organised the international Workshop on "Particle Characterization" in Zagreb 1994; in addition, she was the president of the organising committee of the international conference 12th European Colloid and Interface Society Conference "Trends in Colloid Science" in Dubrovnik-Cavtat 1998. Most of her education activities are connected with the information field; it includes lectures and practical work with Internet in the "Documentation and information in chemistry" for undergraduate students at the universities of Zagreb and Osijek.
